Frida Kahlo: The Lonely Artist. The Entire Life Story: Great Biographies, Book 1 Details

Frida Kahlo was ahead of her time. She was bisexual and would have fit in perfectly in the time we live in now. Her disabilities would be acceptable in our society of today and her husband, Diego would probably be run out of town by the Real Housewives of "Cheaters".Frida came with a lot of baggage in her life starting when she was only six years old and even more baggage piled on when she was in high school. Her suffering was more than anyone can imagine but she kept her head held high and forged her way forward.Inside you'll hear about:Frida's birth and familyFrida and Diego begin their life togetherDiego's First Fight with Penile CancerFrida's loversFrida was rotten to the coreA lifetime of Frida's creationsA medical doctor's perspective on FridaAnd much more!If Frida had not had a unibrow, waxed her upper lip, and shaved under her arms, she may have appeared more feminine than she did, and it may have given her more self-confidence. She never gave herself a chance because she felt it was her job to be the boy in the family.

Reviews

I felt like I was reading an essay by a C level high school student, probably a "mean girl". In the intoduction, the author says "It remains a mystery as to how someone with her looks, someone not attractive in any form or fashion and with all her deformities, that she was able to attract so many rich, famous and handsome men and hold them under her spell." There are several points where the author tries to be insightful, I guess. "Remember to never burn any bridge behind you for you never know when you may have to walk across that bridge again in your future." If you want a poorly written, shallow biography full of cheesy self-help advice, this book might be marginally OK.
